[Text Generation Notice] Retiring Genji, Krake, and Snek models
Three of our legacy models are being removed from novelai.net.
As we continue to make room, three of our legacy models will be removed from novelai.net on November 20th: Genji, Krake, and Snek.
Genji is our Japanese GPT-J 6B finetune. Krake is our finetune of EleutherAI’s GPT-NeoX-20B, and was only ever available to our Opus subscribers. Snek is our GPT-J 6B finetune trained on Python code.
Nowadays, much stronger options like Kayra, Erato, and Xialong are available on NovelAI. So it’s time for all three to enjoy a peaceful retirement.
We’ve previously released Krake and Clio as open source in this blog post: Goodbye Krake & Clio. Contrary to our expectations, despite reaching retirement age, Clio has agreed to stick around as a writer for the foreseeable future.
Thank you to everyone who has written with them over the years! If you’d like to keep using them, all three text models are already open source: Genji, Krake and Snek.
