About this site

The NovelAI Journal is the official blog of NovelAI, a subscription service for AI-assisted storytelling and image generation built by Anlatan.

What you'll find here

Release notes for our text and image models, covering every generation from the earliest ones to whatever shipped most recently.
Feature announcements for the writing tools, the image generation suite, and everything else that lands in the product.
Tutorials and prompting guides, many published in both English and Japanese.
Stream recaps, Q&As, and community events, including contests and collaborations with artists and writers who use NovelAI.
Technical write-ups when there's something worth showing, whether that's research behind a model, code we've open-sourced, or the infrastructure it all runs on.
